El presidente del Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (Indotel), Nelson Arroyo, recibió la visita del rector del Instituto Tecnológico de las Américas (ITLA), Omar Méndez, para reafirmar acuerdos de colaboración y establecer nuevos proyectos.
Méndez presentó los proyectos y carreras que ofrecerá el ITLA para seguir formando técnicos en el campo de las tecnologías. Destacó que cuentan con cinco nuevas carreras en las áreas de Telecomunicaciones, Informática Forense, Energías Renovables, Desarrollo de Simulaciones Interactivas e Inteligencia Artificial.
Explicó que la intención es poder formar el personal técnico del Indotel conforme a sus necesidades.
Asimismo, agregó que, de acuerdo al más reciente estudio de empleabilidad, el 88% de los egresados de ITLA se encuentra insertado en el mercado laboral, debido a la calidad de la formación que reciben. Por lo que ITLA juega un papel de gran importancia para cubrir la demanda de expertos tecnológicos en la industria.
Arroyo expresó el interés del Indotel en participar en las propuestas ofrecidas por el ITLA, así como en continuar con los programas de becas que benefician a cientos de jóvenes para formarse en las carreras tecnológicas que imparte la academia y en el apoyo en la construcción de los laboratorios de telecomunicaciones que tendrá el ITLA.
Ambos funcionarios estuvieron acompañados de una delegación de su equipo estratégico.
