SANTO DOMINGO, República Dominicana. – Anina Del Castillo, directora ejecutiva del Instituto Nacional de Protección de los Derechos del Consumidor (Pro Consumidor), recibió la visita de Yulianna Ramón, directora de la Oficina de Protección al Usuario de los Servicios Financieros (PROUSUARIO), en la cual se acordó fortalecer el apoyo de los usuarios del sector financiero que presenten dificultades.
En la reunión, se determinaron acciones conjuntas que permitan fortalecer la protección de los intereses económicos de los consumidores y usuarios de productos y servicios del mercado financiero del país.
En el encuentro Del Castillo, expresó su disposición de continuar fortaleciendo la colaboración interinstitucional, que permita avanzar en materia de defensa de los intereses de las personas consumidoras, apoyando a las entidades sectoriales creadas por leyes especiales, con el fin de consolidar un marco más robusto de protección a los usuarios a nivel nacional.
Mientras, Yulianna Ramón, manifestó que desde Prousuario, tienen todo el interés de acompañar a los interesados que presenten situaciones o dificultades con una entidad de intermediación financiera, tal y como lo establece el ámbito de competencia de la entidad que dirige.
Asimismo, refirió que la educación financiera está dentro de su agenda de trabajo y será la punta de lanza de su gestión, ya que con este fortalecimiento se empoderaran a las personas para que puedan tomar decisiones responsables en los aspectos financieros.
Igualmente, entre ambas entidades abordaron el tema de la revisión de los contratos de adhesión, para comprobar que no contengan cláusulas abusivas que generen obligaciones que vayan en desmedro de los consumidores o usuarios y reducir gastos de insumos materiales.
Prousuario, es una dependencia de la Superintendencia de Bancos, creada por Resolución de la Junta Monetaria que proporciona servicios de atención a las consultas, denuncias y reclamaciones que presenten o requieran los usuarios de servicios financieros y garantiza la armonía y el equilibrio de la relación entre las entidades financieras y los usuarios, en un marco de respeto recíproco, con transparencia de la no vulnerabilidad de los derechos de los usuarios del sistema.
La actividad se desarrolló en el Salón de Conferencias de Pro Consumidor, guardando los protocolos y medidas de seguridad para combatir el Covid-19.
