La Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones (UIT) en conjunto con el Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (Indotel) y los Centros Tecnológicos Comunitarios (CTC), anuncian la realización de la “Edición Virtual de Américas Girls Can Code” (AGCC).
La actividad tiene el objetivo principal de promover el desarrollo de las habilidades digitales de las niñas y mujeres a través del empoderamiento en carreras tecnológicas y el conocimiento de nuevas tecnologías.
La iniciativa está libre de costo y se llevará a cabo del 2 al 4 de septiembre, donde se ofrecerán 13 talleres y nueve charlas que se centrarán en temas como, Pensamiento Computacional, Scratch, App Inventor, Robótica, así como Inteligencia Artificial, entre otros.
El Indotel informó que con este evento los organizadores promueven la participación y empoderamiento de las niñas a partir de los 14 años y de jóvenes mujeres, creando conciencia de que las carreras tecnológicas no tienen género.
En esta edición del AGCC los talleres y charlas permitirán a las participantes conocer el universo de la programación y sus oportunidades. Las interesadas pueden registrarse en el sitio: https://www.agcclatam.org/
