César Dargam: solo empleados acogidos al programa Fase 2 cobrarán salario 13

El vicepresidente ejecutivo del Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (Conep), César Dargam, declaró este martes que los empleados que se encuentran en el programa Fase 2 cobrarán el salario 13 mientras que los trabajadores en Fase 1 no recibirán dicho sueldo ya que están suspendidos.

Dargam dijo: “Los trabajadores que en Fase 1 están suspendidos y están recibiendo un subsidio que proviene del Estado, aunque originalmente se alimentó de un fondo del sector privado que era de los recursos del excedente de los riegos laborales, los de Fase 1 están suspendidos”.

Y añadió: “Para los fines del Código Laboral no están percibiendo sus ingresos en estos meses bajo suspensión”. Mientras que los acogidos al Fase 2 “están ocupando sus empleos y percibiendo un subsidio para bajar la carga de las empresas”.

Dijo que quienes se encuentren suspendidos deberán acogerse a lo estipulado en el Código del Trabajo. “No queremos aumentar el desempleo en la República Dominicana. Queremos que puedan volver a sus puestos de trabajo y dentro de lo posible mejorar sus condiciones”, aclaró.

Puntualizó que para que los empleados puedan regresar a sus puestos “las empresas deben tener las condiciones de hacerlo y el trabajador la seguridad de poder subsistir”.

Expuso que la prioridad es preservar los empleos. “A los trabajadores suspendidos todavía no se les ha terminado su contrato de trabajo”, apuntó.

Dargam habló durante una entrevista en el programa Despierta con CDN, trasmitido por CDN Canal 37, bajo la conducción de los comunicadores Katherine Hernández, Nelson Rodríguez y Julissa Céspedes.
