Empresarios respaldan vuelta a clases voluntaria, gradual y segura

Santo Domingo, R.D.- El Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (Conep), comunicó hoy que respalda la reapertura gradual de las escuelas, al considerar que existe suficiente evidencia que justifica la misma ocurra de manera segura y sin afectar los niveles de contagio.

El gremio empresarial, en una nota enviada a los medios de comunicación, saludó la convocatoria del Consejo Nacional de Educación para el próximo 24 de febrero, y solicitó que dicho órgano decida entorno al retorno a los centros educativos público y privados, y que el mismo sea voluntario, gradual, progresivo y seguro.

Señaló que República Dominicana es de los pocos países en el mundo en los que aún se mantiene el cierre completo de la escuelas, tal y como muestra el monitoreo global de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura (UNESCO).

Los empresarios ofrecieron su respaldo a las autoridades para la implementación de un plan que permita la reapertura con los protocolos de bioseguridad adecuados en el corto plazo.

El Conep reiteró la coherencia en sus posiciones, que desde el inicio de la pandemia han recomendado la adopción de medidas en función de los indicadores.

Al evaluar las condiciones actuales del sector educativo, ponderó los efectos negativos que arrastra el cierre indefinido de las escuelas, incluyendo el aumento de la deserción escolar y la profundización de las brechas sociales.

Asimismo, el Conep respaldó los planteamientos que han venido haciendo diferentes instituciones como UNICEF, EDUCA, AINEP, INICIA Educación, UDIEP, ANJE, Save the Children, entre otros.
