Inacif determina que madre e hijo hallados muertos en Piantini fallecieron por intoxicación con monóxido de carbono

SANTO DOMINGO.- El Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses (Inacif) determinó que Juliza Serrán Guzmán, de 50 años, y su hijo Yadin Nain Cornelio, de 22, fallecieron a causa de una intoxicación por monóxido de carbono, tras ser encontrados sin vida en un apartamento del sector Piantini, en el Distrito Nacional.

Según el informe forense, los levantamientos practicados a ambos cadáveres evidenciaron la presencia de monóxido de carbono en la sangre de las víctimas, estableciendo esta como la causa de muerte.

Los resultados de la investigación científica descartan que madre e hijo hayan fallecido por una intoxicación alimentaria, una de las hipótesis que había surgido de manera preliminar luego de que ambos compartieran una cena en un restaurante de Juan Dolio horas antes del suceso.

Precisamente, como parte de las pesquisas iniciales, las autoridades habían intervenido el establecimiento comercial para recopilar información y descartar cualquier vínculo entre los alimentos consumidos y las muertes.

En el mismo hecho resultó afectada Carolín Milagros Pérez, de 22 años, pareja de Yadin Nain Cornelio, quien fue trasladada a un centro de salud privado donde permaneció ingresada en estado delicado. No obstante, las autoridades informaron que la joven evolucionó favorablemente y posteriormente recibió el alta médica.

Las autoridades continúan profundizando las investigaciones para determinar el origen de la concentración de monóxido de carbono que provocó la tragedia y establecer las circunstancias exactas en que ocurrió el hecho.
