SANTO DOMINGO, República Dominicana.- La Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) abrirá este lunes la Unidad de Bienestar Integral de Salud Mental con profesionales especializados en la conducta humana, atendiendo a recomendaciones de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) de atender a personas de todas las edades que viven episodios de estrés, depresión y ansiedad a causa de la enfermedad covid-19.
La Dirección General de Recursos Humanos y el Dispensario Médico Tejeda Florentino están a cargo de accionarlo, sostuvo en un memorándum la rectora de la Primada de América, Emma Polanco Melo.
Esta Unidad de Salud Mental iniciará con los servicios en la Estancia Infantil, en el horario de ocho de la mañana hasta las doce del día, continuando de dos a cuatro de la tarde, de lunes a viernes.
Quienes estén interesados en solicitar una cita, deben comunicarse con el teléfono número (809) 689-3556.
Asimismo, la doctora Polanco Melo, anunció para los días cuatro y cinco de noviembre la realización de varias jornadas de vacunación contra las enfermedades de la Influenza, Hepatitis B, Difteria y Tétanos.
El horario de esas labores será de ocho a doce del día en el Dispensario Médico Doctor Tejeda Florentino (antiguo edificio Marion) y en el lobby del Edificio Administrativo de la UASD.
Para poner en funcionamiento la Unidad de Bienestar Integral de Salud Mental se tomó como referencia a recomendaciones de los informes de la OMS de atender a personas de todas las edades que viven episodios de estrés, depresión y ansiedad a causa de la enfermedad covid-19 y que suman millones en todo el mundo.
“Es por ello que nuestra academia continúa implementando los protocolos de salud establecidos por los organismos del área”, dijo y agregó que, “como respuesta a esta nueva realidad y a la demanda de nuestros servidores, hemos instruido a la Dirección General de Recursos Humanos y al Dispensario Médico Doctor Tejeda Florentino a fin de poner en funcionamiento, a la mayor brevedad, la Unidad de Bienestar Integral de Salud, conformada por especialistas del área”.
