Intrant prohíbe circulación de vehículos de carga en días festivos de Navidad y Año Nuevo

Santo Domingo, RD.- El Instituto Nacional de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Intrant), anunció este lunes que estará prohibida la circulación de transporte de carga en todo el territorio nacional desde el jueves 24 de diciembre a partir de las 06:00 de la mañana, hasta el lunes 28 a las 06:00 a.m. y desde el jueves 31 de diciembre, a partir de las 06:00 de la mañana, hasta el martes cinco (5) de enero de 2021 a las 06:00 a.m.

En un comunicado, el Intrant dice que están exceptuados las camionetas, furgonetas y vehículos oficiales de emergencia o de servicio público.

Dice que podrán circular los vehículos utilizados para acarrear combustible, agua, alimentos perecederos en corto tiempo, juguetes, medicamentos, equipos y servicios de desechos hospitalarios, en camiones de no más de una cola, debidamente inscritos en el Registro Nacional de Vehículos de Carga y autorizados por Intrant, mediante permisos con protección QR para su fiscalización, obtenidos y pagados exclusivamente en línea en el portal oficial www.intrant.gob.do.

El director ejecutivo del Intrant, Rafael Arias informó que la institución adopta esa medida para garantizar la seguridad de los ciudadanos en las vías y prevenir los siniestros de tránsito ante los desplazamientos masivos por las festividades de Navidad y Año Nuevo.

Reiteró que “la velocidad máxima de circulación establecida para los vehículos de carga es de 70 kilómetros por hora, viajando siempre por el carril del extremo derecho, en todas las carreteras del país, en cumplimiento de la Ley 63-17, de Movilidad, Transporte Terrestre, Tránsito y Seguridad Vial de la República Dominicana”.
