En medio de un rebrote de los casos de COVID-19 en Estados Unidos y países de Europa que atemoriza a República Dominicana, un grupo de ciudadanos anunció una manifestación para el próximo lunes, en la Plaza de la Bandera, en contra de la extensión del toque que dispuso el Poder Ejecutivo hasta el 1 de diciembre.
La convocatoria se atribuye a dueños de discotecas, restaurantes, colmados, artistas y DJ, uno de los sectores más afectados con las medidas del estado de emergencia para evitar la propagación del coronavirus.
Con el hashtag #tamosharto #nomastoquedequeda y #COVID-19, los convocantes recomiendan a los que atiendan el llamado a que, en el lugar, se respete el distanciamiento social.
“20 más de toque de queda, vamos todos para la Plaza de la Bandera”, es el llamado de los convocantes a la protesta, pautada para las 10:00 de la mañana.
El vigente toque de queda, que debería concluir el 1 de diciembre, empieza de lunes a viernes a partir de las 9:00 de la noche hasta las 5:00 de la mañana y los sábados desde las 7:00 de pm hasta las 5:00 am.
En ocho meses de la pandemia en República Dominicana, 2,274 personas ha fallecido de COVID-19, mientras que los casos positivos acumulados ascienden a 131,636.
