Congresista Adriano Espaillat tiene coronavirus luego de recibir dosis de vacuna

Santo Domingo, RD.- El congresista estadounidense de origen dominicano Adriano Espaillat ha dado positivo al Covid-19 luego de haberse administrado ambas dosis de la vacuna que previene la enfermedad.

“Estoy siguiendo las instrucciones de mi médico y me estoy poniendo en cuarentena en casa después de haber dado positivo en la prueba de Covid-19”, informó Espaillat a través de su cuenta de Twitter.

Destacó que además le han administrado ambas dosis  de la vacuna de Pfizer/BioNtech contra el coronavirus y se ha hecho pruebas con regularidad.  “Uso la mascarilla y sigo las pautas recomendadas” agregó.

También informó en la misma red social que continuará ejerciendo sus labores como congresista representando al distrito 13 de Nueva York de manera remota hasta que reciba la autorización de su médico.

El congresista finalizó sus tuits con un llamado de prudencia y exhortación para los ciudadanos del  distrito que representa,  “animo a todos los residentes a seguir las pautas de salud pública para prevenir la propagación del virus”, posteó.

El pasado 20 de diciembre Espaillat recibió la primera dosis de la vacuna para manifestarle a sus constituyentes la seguridad de este proceso y su eficacia.
