Santo Domingo, RD. – El Banco de Reservas de República Dominicana se prepara para lanzar un proyecto piloto de sucursales digitales, con la finalidad de contribuir con el distanciamiento físico de los clientes y la eliminación de filas y, además, contribuir con una mayor dinamización de la economía y acercamiento con los sectores productivos.
Con gran entusiasmo, el nuevo administrador del Banreservas, Samuel Pereyra, señaló una cantidad de proyectos y programas implementados en la entidad para apoyar a sectores como el turismo, las universidades, las compras, la industria automotriz, el sector inmobiliario y a los emprendedores.

Producto de todos los cambios que se ha generado con la pandemia, el banco comenzará con sus clientes de forma dual, “un poco presencial, pero digital”, porque todavía hay muchos pensionados y personas de bajos ingresos que quizás no manejan el tema de la conectividad. Se está usando tecnologías para que las personas vayan menos al banco y usen más la aplicación, dijo.

El funcionario destacó el apoyo ofrecido mediante tasa cero por un monto de RD$5,000 millones a las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (Pymes) y que terminaron con un desembolso de RD$6,800 millones en refinanciamientos y financiamientos nuevos.

Igual comportamiento se verificó en la feria automovilística, en Expomóvil Banreservas, en la que se registraron más de 8,000 solicitudes de préstamos y hay más de 5,000 créditos aprobados, de los cuales casi el 86% son vehículos, entre ellos muchos de gran eficiencia, como autos los eléctricos, que casi se agotaron en el mercado.

Los dealears y concesionarios tuvieron en la feria un gran respaldo ante el gran inventario que tenían y al ver la gran aceptación de los vehículos eléctricos que, en un día, llegaron a vender  cerca de cien unidades de este tipo de automóvil.

Otro de los proyectos que han apoyado la economía es el inmobiliario, donde el Banreservas está inmerso en el apoyo al sector de la construcción y la venta de apartamentos con tasas de interés desde 7%.

En cuanto al sector turismo, Pereyra dijo que el banco les ofreció apoyo al darles la facilidad de no pagar capital, solo los intereses hasta enero y de darles más capital para trabajo y préstamos nuevos.

“Nosotros nos pusimos como meta apoyar al turismo”, dijo , al destacar que la entidad financiera es el único banco que empezó a dar financiamientos nuevos en el sector turismo.

Sostuvo que la muestra de eso es que el presidente de la República ha pasado de cinco palazos.

También, se le ha facilitado financiamientos a los restaurantes, se ha hecho acuerdos con la Asociación Nacional de Hoteles y Turismo (Asonahores), como sector focalizado, para que abran y se creen y se mantengan los empleos.

De igual modo, se trabaja con las universidades del país, mediante un proyecto con la mayoría de esos centros de educación a los que se les ha otorgado restructuración de préstamos, consolidación de deudas, capital nuevo, entre otros.

Además, señaló el apoyo que se ofrece a los usuarios de préstamos a través del programa Crecer, con un apoyo a los emprendedores de RD$40 millones de capital semilla.
