SANTO DOMINGO, República Dominicana.- El pago automatizado de las multas por violar el toque de queda establecido para contrarrestar la expansión de la covid-19 será facilitado por la Procuraduría General de la República (PGR) que da los toques finales a un proceso técnico con ese fin.
La PGR adelantó que revisa los mecanismos de interacción digital que permitirán los pagos a través de transferencias electrónicas desde varias entidades bancarias.
«Una vez validados los procesos e informaciones, los usuarios de los canales digitales de los bancos autorizados podrán realizar por esa vía sus transacciones para el pago de las multas», dijo un comunicado de la PGR.
Quienes prefieran podrán seguir pagando las multas en forma directa en cualquiera de las entidades bancarias autorizadas para el cobro de servicios de la Procuraduría General.
La información no precisó cuánto es el monto que pagan aquellos sorprendidos por las autoridades violando el horario del toque de queda, que desde este martes es de 7 de la noche a 5 de la mañana.
En numerosos videos colgados en las redes sociales desde inicios de la pandemia, se asegura que el pago mínimo es de 2 mil pesos y de 100 mil pesos el máximo, aunque el comunicado de la PGR afirma que la ley de salud autoriza el cobro de entre uno y 10 salarios mínimos a quienes incumplan las medidas sanitarias para controlar enfermedades transmisibles.
Si esto se cumpliera así, los apresados por las autoridades por violar el toque de queda pagarían al menos un salario mínimo del sector público, que en la actualidad es de 10,000 pesos.
El Ministerio Público, no obstante, aclaró que su mayor interés «siempre será» que los ciudadanos acaten todos los protocolos recomendados por el Ministerio de Salud Pública para evitar la propagación de la covid-19.
Insistió en la necesidad de respetar el distanciamiento físico, el uso de mascarilla, el lavado de las manos y el cumplimento de los horarios del toque de queda, como mecanismos para mantener a salvo a todos los integrantes de la familia.
«Desde hace varios meses el Ministerio Público aplica multas a ciudadanos desaprensivos que, al violentar los protocolos de salud, se exponen al contagio y, sobre todo, ponen en peligro a los familiares y a todas las personas de su entorno», agregó la PGR.
